Give Me 5 is a community-driven crowdfunding campaign by Initiate Global Foundation, created to provide ₱5,000 in annual educational support for students in need. This amount helps cover essential school expenses such as transportation, meals, school supplies, and other daily costs that often become barriers to continuing education.

For this campaign, Initiate Global Foundation is partnering with Barangay 598 through its long-standing Pabaon Scholarship Program, with the goal of supporting 100 students for the upcoming school year.

A Program Built on Consistency and Impact

Barangay 598’s scholarship initiative is not new—it is a program rooted in years of real impact.

• Started in 2009, initially supporting 12 students through the initiative of Barangay Council members
• Strengthened by Barangay Ordinance #2, Series of 2009, which formalized funding for 30 indigent public high school students
• Has since supported over 1,000+ students from low-income families
• Achieved a 100% high school completion rate among scholars (Grade 10)
• Produced around 1,000+ college graduates who were once beneficiaries of the program
• Reached its peak in 2013 with 150 scholars supported in a single year

As the largest barangay in Manila’s 6th district, Barangay 598 carries both the responsibility and the opportunity to uplift a significant number of students each year.
