Silid Read to Lead

The primary objective of the Silid Read to Lead Program is to support non-readers by offering a structured literacy intervention that helps them progress through different reading levels until they achieve grade-ready proficiency. By fostering a love for reading and enhancing literacy skills, the program aims to unlock the potential of each child, empowering them to become confident learners and future leaders. What makes the program special are the following characteristics:

  1. Targeted Interventions and Personalized Support: Each student receives individualized attention through custom learning pathways that cater to their specific reading needs and learning styles, ensuring that all learners can progress at their own pace. The ratio is from 1:5 to 1:8 (Co-learner: Learners).
  2. Structured Learning Framework: Utilizing the Silid Aralan Learning Technology Education Framework (SALTEd). We provide a structured and innovative curriculum that integrates technology and hands-on learning activities to engage students effectively.
  3. Culturally Relevant Curriculum: The Silid Read to Lead Program curriculum is designed to resonate with the students’ backgrounds and experiences, making the learning process more relatable and meaningful, which in turn fosters motivation and engagement.
  4. Focus on Lifelong Skills: Beyond improving literacy rates, the program aims to instill a love for reading that promotes lifelong learning and personal growth, equipping students with critical thinking and comprehension skills essential for academic success and active community participation.
  5. Community and Academic Empowerment. We engage their parents as well.
