I hope this message finds you well and in good health. I am reaching out to you today with a deeply humble heart to share an unexpected medical milestone my family and I are currently facing, and to kindly ask for your support as I prepare for a major surgery.

Recently, doctors discovered a large, complex 11 cm ovarian mass that is creating a severe “space issue” inside my pelvis, pressing heavily against my internal organs. Because of its significant size, my doctor has determined that a traditional open surgery (an ovarian cystectomy) is the only safe and definitive way to remove it. It has become urgent for me to undergo this procedure as soon as possible, as the mass is beginning to complicate the function of my surrounding organs—most notably causing a fluid backup and swelling in my right kidney (recurrent UTI due to hydronephrosis). To prevent any long-term damage and safely resolve these complications, we are moving forward with the operation as quickly as we can. To manage this as responsibly as possible, I am preparing to undergo the procedure.

While we are actively doing everything we can to keep our medical expenses down, a major open surgery presents a heavy financial bridge for our family to cross.

My healthcare insurance has a maximum limit of ₱100,000. After accounting for the necessary pre-operative specialized scans and tumor marker laboratory tests I have already completed, I am left with only ₱70,000++ in remaining insurance coverage.

To help cover the remaining hospital deficit, the fees for our specialist surgical team, and vital post-operative laboratory work, our goal is to raise ₱150,000.

To help put this goal into perspective across our different time zones, ₱150,000 PHP is roughly equivalent to $2,550 USD / €2,350 EUR / £2,000 GBP / $3,450 SGD.

Additionally, because an open abdominal surgery requires re-opening an incision line, I will be placed on a not less than 3 to 6 weeks of strict medical leave from work to heal fully. This fundraising goal will not only help cover our immediate hospital bill deficit but will also serve as a vital lifeline to keep our daily household running smoothly while I am unable to earn an income.

Like any responsible household, we work hard to manage our finances and carefully maintain an everyday emergency fund for our family. However, a major, specialized surgeryand a multi-week recovery absence is an aggressive medical emergency that simply wasn’t accounted for, quickly overwhelming our immediate safety nets. To be completely honest, it feels incredibly difficult and humbling to ask for external financial help in this way, but the reality of the medical bills and the urgency of protecting my kidney function have left me with no other choice. Please know that we do not take reaching out to you lightly, and we are profoundly grateful for your understanding and lack of judgment.

I know that times can be challenging for everyone right now, which is why I want to emphasize with absolute sincerity that NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL.
