Hi, I am Mae, the founder of The Paper House. I finished elementary education in a small province. I am teaching online while taking care of my family. Since college, I have always enjoyed teaching children. Throughout my teaching journey, I have learned a lot from kids, and I have seen how hard it is for them to buy paper and pencils because of their economic situation. In 2019, I made reading materials for free by printing on bond paper and compiling them in plastic folders. But it was not enough since printing services in shops are expensive. I saw the smiles they shared; they were even shy about opening those booklets. I stopped doing it since I was busy with my work. Now I have decided to continue it. The Paper House project started in 2025 as a writing book for children aged 3–5. The main purpose of this is to give children books that are affordable and that they can practice with at home. In these times when children use screens, I make these books so they can practice writing and reading, and they can literally write using pencils.

We are focused on extended learning, giving additional aids at home where parents and guardians can monitor their kids and further evaluate the improvement of their learners. These topics are not specifically aligned with our country’s curriculum plan, but we have made sure that they are connected to it. We cover five main topics: reading, writing, math, science, and art. Each subject comes with five volumes. Each volume is assigned to learners’ grade levels up to 6th grade. This provides convenience for parents. Now, we elevate the experience by adding a math calendar: 365 days of practice, flashcards, notebooks, and coloring books. We make sure that each page provides meaningful discovery for the learners.

Right now, the books are done. This campaign is for the equipment that I need to use, such as binding combs, cutters, paper, ink, etc. My salary as a tutor is not enough to create these products. I know this is a small movement to start, but I can see where these books will go. This campaign might only reach a small portion of the Earth’s land, but even in small things like these, it will create a bright future for the learners. Thank you so much for your support.
